Mathetes (Ma-theh-tes)is a ministry, which exists for the purpose of doing what Jesus has commanded us to do; that is, "make disciples." (Matt. 28:19)

"Mathetes" is the Greek word for "disciple".  Mathetes seeks to glorify God by making disciples through the teaching and study of God's written Word.

The Mathetes' logo is a coat-of-arms, which identifies us with God's family. At the center of the shield is the cross, because Mathetes is a Christ-centered ministry that can only exist because of what Jesus did on the cross. The book signifies our devotion to God's Word, which is the source and filter for all the information we produce. The tree symbolizes the growth of God's kingdom that we seek to cultivate. The lion is Jesus Christ, the Lion of Judah, whom we serve. Finally the "M" is for ministry, which is the goal of Mathetes.
